Cinema 4D has various renderers - programs that generate images.
There are renders that are standard by default. Cinema 4D has two built-in renderers: standard and physical, but they do not work Real-Time. The most popular now is Redshift render, it is installed by default in Cinema 4d, it is cool but paid. Another popular Octane is also cool and paid, I worked with Octane when I had a license.
The main advantage of Redshift and Octane renderers for Cinema 4D is that they can render images in real time, immediately showing fuzzy results in the window, this significantly speeds up the work process, there is no need to generate detailed graphics to see the final results. There is an alternative to Octane under Cinema 4D, Arnold. Comment for Arnold. Arnold this is also a Real-Time render, it is conditionally paid. There is also for Cinema 4D V-Ray. Comment forV-Ray. VV-Ray is Real-Time rendering and Corona Comment for Corona. I worked with these renders in 3ds max, but they didn't have real-time generation before, now Corona in Cineme 4D also has real-time generation.
Each of these renders has specific settings for materials, cameras, lighting, render settings. Different effects are implemented using different methods, so a file created using one renderer will not work without that renderer. The file may be opened, but with errors and it will be necessary to the adjustments required for the renderer that is available. There can be a lot of such things.
