Feel fantastic in the hands of the professionals
If you were able to count it all up: how much of your life would you say you have spent shaving? How about if you add in waxing? Threading and plucking? We won't even ask about bleaching.
The sad reality is, whatever we say to this, the actual answer is 'too much' when there are wonder-treatments such as IPL at our disposal. Forget shortlived smoothness that leaves you back where you started a mere 2 or 3 days later. Why not free yourself from the shackles of hair removal altogether?
The remarkable difference that Harley Hair treatments can make
IPL - also known as 'Intense Pulsed Light' - is a wonderful solution to unwanted hair long-term. Leaving the treated area smooth, hairless and free of irritation, you can wave goodbye to razor burn, ingrown hairs and shaving rash permanently. Following a course of IPL, you'll never need to look at another scratchy, disposable razor or sticky wax strip again...
We've all been caught short once or twice. Perhaps it's been whilst trying something on in a dressing room or after removing an item of clothing when it's suddenly gotten warm - panic - you've not shaved. Now you're not only uncomfortable, but you're suddenly very self-conscious...
IPL is an incredibly effective method of hair-removal, using pulses of high-energy light to ensure that you are left with nothing short of lifelong smoothness. By penetrating the skin and delving right to the follicle root, you can secure silky smooth skin year round.
Whether you're concerned about hair on the legs, underarms, bikini region, back, chest, abdomen - even the face or neck; IPL can do wonders on any area of the body - no matter how delicate. If you've got unwanted hair, IPL is a perfectly simple and long-term solution.

The answer to some of the most common questions you may have
It's only natural to have questions if you are considering pursuing a treatment for the first time, and at Harley Street Skin, it's important to us that you feel confident and comfortable at every stage of your journey. To help you find the answers you need, here are a few of the more common quibbles that we find our clients frequently ask...
IPL makes use of high-energy light pulses. These light pulses are applied to the skin using a handheld device which sends heat down into the dermis at a very specific wavelength. This allows us to concentrate energy on the melanin within the hair follicles, which then causes them to become dormant. In order to do so, the hair follicle must be actively growing which is why it is advised that patients undergo multiple sessions for a thorough finish.
It should be noted that as IPL targets melanin - the pigment which is responsible for our skin's colour - it cannot be used on areas of the body which have been tattooed as this will compromise the quality and overall clarity of the tattoo itself.
IPL can be programmed to emit various different wavelengths and therefore penetrate the skin at different depths. This makes it ideal for a multitude of skin complaints including acne scarring, age spots, stretch marks and thread veins - amongst other things.
We at Harley Hair, however, love it for its ability to effectively remove hair for good. This method of hair removal is great as it allows the skin some respite from the constant irritation which can typical of other forms of hair removal such as shaving and waxing. IPL will never cause rashes, long-lasting redness or, ingrown hairs which can lead to infection and/or scarring.
IPL at Harley Hair begins at XX per session, with prices dependant on factors such as skin tone, hair density and treatment area size.
